Orlando, Florida is home to many world-famous theme parks, which makes the city an ideal place to travel with family and friends. Millions of travelers flock to Orlando each year and millions more have included the city in their ‘must-visit’ lists. And people can see why it is one of the most visited cities in the US – you will never run out of fun and exciting things to do in Orlando. In case you do not know already, here are the top attractions to go to when you are in Orlando.

1. Walt Disney World, Orlando

No one is ever too old for the Walt Disney World, also known as ‘the happiest place on Earth’. There is no doubt that both kids and adults will have an enjoyable time in Disney World Orlando. Aside from its famous rides, it also offers dining and shopping galore to the tourists. Places of note in Disney World are the Magic Kingdom, Epcot’s Spaceship Earth geosphere, Hollywood Studios park, and the Kilimanjaro safari experience.

2. Universal Orlando

One of the most visited theme parks in Florida is the Universal Orlando. Get adventurous with its many thrilling rides and get lost in the fantasy worlds of well-loved movies like Jurassic Park and the Harry Potter series. 4. Legoland Florida Resort

For kids and kids-at-heart who are big fans of the classic lego toy, Legoland seems to be like a dream come true. Several rides resemble giant lego pieces put together and you can also feast your eyes on the popular Miniland USA, which are miniature cities creatively made out of legos.

5. NASA’s Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex

If you want to experience being an astronaut, take a day trip to the Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex, which is one of NASA’s most well-known operation centers. You can get to learn about life in the space program, train to become an astronaut for a day, experience a simulated shuttle launch, and do some lunar exploration. This experience will certainly be one for the books.

6. Orlando Science Center

Another destination for the science buffs is the Orlando Science Center. Spark your curiosity with its interactive exhibits, planetarium shows, and 3D movies, all of which are geared towards promoting science and technology, especially among young people. 

7. Harry P. Leu Gardens

The Harry P. Leu Gardens is a famous venue for weddings because this 50-acre botanical paradise is not only breathtakingly beautiful and serene, it has a romantic atmosphere to it, too. This is another attraction in Orlando that can soothe you and make you feel calm, thanks to its well-landscaped grounds, still lakes, and 200-year old oak trees. Perfect for the nature lovers and romantics out there.

8. Gatorland

Unleash your wild side and visit Gatorland, where you can watch daily performances and demonstrations of alligators, crocodiles and other reptiles that Florida is also famous for. If you want to go a little bit extra, try Gatorland’s zipline which runs over alligators and crocodiles. Yikes!
